ECU Connector Cable

Hello All,

I have been working on a head rebuild and general overhaul of my wife's 2003 R50 Mini Cooper. To this point it has gone off without a hitch.

This evening, while reinstalling my DME/ECU, I ran into an issue that has me stumped. On the cable bundle for the rear ECU connector there is another small cable the with a 2 pin connector on it. For the life of me, I cannot figure out where this is meant to go.

Can anybody offer guidance as to what it is and where it goes?

Thanks,
Brandon

It wasn't connected to anything. Its usually just taped up too the harness. I think it was there for a planned option. Mine has the same connector just taped to the harness but not used.

Thanks a bunch! I tore everything back out and still couldn't find a mating connector. That was the information I was hoping for.

Thanks,
Brandon
