I Need Help Identifying Electrical Connector Under the Hood (Bonnet).
I replaced the clutch (2015 Countrymen S All4), then found an extra electrical Connector when I put it back together.
Can you help me learn where it goes?
Thank you!
B. (B. for Bill)
Here are the pictures.
I am no Mini specialist at all, but for those who are and might see this, it might be helpful to take another pic zoomed out a bit to get an idea of where this connector is?
My Bad. The pictuire is of what I thought was a connector, but in reality it was of a connector with a broken piece of the connection still imbedded in it. It must have broken when I fumbled around and thought I'd disconnected it. The reason for the colse-up was to show the part. The cable was long enough to have it end up anywhere in that quadrant of space beneath the boot. Thank you for taking the trouble to look. B. (Backup Light Switch Connector)
Yes, it looks like part of the reverse lamp switch, stuck in the connector for the reverse lamp swich, located on top the gearbox near the selector housing (manual transmission).
p/n is 23147524811 for the switch itself, fitted to just about every manual BMW and Mini on the road. Photo below courtesy of RealOEM
