At my wits end!! Electrical help? (2011 Cooper S R56 Automatic)
Recently found out the my coop had the elusive bad solder joint on the low pressure fuel pump relay. so i took out the entire fuse box from the footwell and being a bit solder savvy i fixed that bit myself. After reinstalling the relay/fuse module it seems to have fixed the fuel pump problem, however now i have a slew of errors at startup that all seem to be involving vehicle sensors (transmission symbol, ABS, steering), my tach, gas gauge and speedo dont function (but do light up so they aren't just dead), and my obdii reader can't connect to my car. after all that i said fine and just bought a new relay/fuse module that matches the old thinking i just damaged something, i found an exact match that was even made in the same factory a few months apart, but THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM occurs. i'm just out of ideas at this point and would absolutely love some guidance.
One heads up, the connector plugs are the type that are used on DME. You have to push a small button (?) and flip the arm over the body of connector, which pops it out. Look under the DME cover if you have not seen one. The FRM has 3 connectors, one on the near side and 2 on far side. You don't have to remove much of the trim to get to module, just pop out the top, right below where the hood latch is and open it enough to reach unit. Pretty easy.

Thank you for the advice. The component i'm having issues with is on the passenger side and i've seen it referred to as a "JBE" or junction box electrical. ill attach a picture of the "new" one for reference. this is the component i tried repairing, after which fixed the fuel pump issue but created the issues im currently having. then i replaced it only to still have the same problems (except the fuel pump issue that was resolved)
Did not have time to expound. Had same issue with errors on shift column cluster replace. The solution was FRM. Trust me I had the same codes and no communication. Nuts

We plan on trying tomorrow afternoon, I apologize for the doubt, after owning one for about 2 1/2 years i've realized Mini's are very weird cars to fix. so i wouldn't be surprised if it does or doesn't work either way. something seemingly unrelated to an issue is often what's causing the problem.
The FRM fix didn't work. What did change is now it'll report the gas level seemingly correct then that'll go away. I also took some pictures of the symbols I get. These were all taken while the engine was running. There's also one I didn't on this get but showed up earlier that looked like a gauge with an arrow pointing at it.
I assume your OBD2 does not read either? Mine had the same errors except, not the traction control error. Are your head lights on, with switch off? Mine were on and high beam worked but would not turn off. I didn't even have power steering (assist).
The only other thing I would consider is using the INPA program on a laptop. Pretty cheap setup, buy cd and cable connector for car.
last question, you had the battery disconnected when you unplugged the FRM, right?
If it was mine, I would contact Minitobe, with an IM on this platform. So much of your descriptor sounds like stuff on the FRM. Minitobe may be able to check your frm or give some direction.
