Should I use copper spray on my new headgasket ?

I'm replacing a cracked head on my 03 r53 and I've been reading a bit about using copper prep spray. I did a search here but didn't find much info . Should I use it or just leave the gasket dry . Any help appreciated

Thanks . I know there's different types of heard gaskets , some need this some don't. Have you done this on a mini ? I don't want to have to do this twice. I dint think my old back can take it

Coworker that do most engine work (Toyota dealer) always use some. He's also building turbo ATVs, so I tend to believe that he knows what he's doing.
