Windows go only down if a door was opened

Hi, so it all began when the right window won't close all the way when closing the door, so we tried a bunch of tips from youtube and the web about holding the buttons up, down, inserting the fob, and all of those combinations. Which did solved the auto-adjustment of the window when opening\closing the door.

But it created other problems like that the automatic "one-click" that should get the windows to go all the way up\down isn't working at all.

And when pressing the switch down, the window will be "stuck" for a sec and only then go down, and the most severe problem is that if at any time one of the doors have been opened (while the car is on) the windows would go only down from then on, no matter if I press the switch up or down, and after they go all the way down, they won't come up unless I turn off the car and turn on again.

We have reset the FRM but it didn't help, any suggestions? Mini Cooper 2010.

Have you tried 'rebooting' the car? Disconnect the battery and let everything discharge. Might reset it. Could be a bad control module as well. Do you have an ODBII reader to see if it is throwing a code?

The battery died some time ago (after the problem with the windows began) and caused other electric problems, which led me to reset the FRM module, so if it didn't help then I don't think it will help now, moreover, it will just risk my FRM module again.

Unfortunately, I don't have an ODBII reader, I went to the dealer to seek their advice, but they offered only to take apart the whole door to search for the problem (without any guarantee that it will solve the problem) and want a large amount of money for their "search".

So I kind of hoped maybe it could be solved again via some "switch combinations", it's just no one offers any combinations for this specific problem, most of them solving the auto-adjustment problem that I had when it all started.

I think your battery should have survived longer than it apparently did. Do you know how old it is?
It may be time for a new one that may fix the problem.
(Some catalogs show the wrong battery size - get an H6 for an R53).
