Another scan tool thread

I’ve got an 09 Clubman S and wanting to clear some codes. I have a generic OBD2 unit but of course we know those don’t do much on the Mini. I’m planning on selling the car in the next year so don’t want to invest heavily in a top shelf scanner. The scanner needs to clear seatbelt errors. My occupancy sensor has pooched out and I’ve got the magic work around plug in box for it. No change to the bright red lights on the dash and the manufacturer recommends clearing codes before he calls it a fail. So a trip
to the shop to attempt to clear the codes will prolly be $100. Might as well put that into a scanner. The other thing that would be nice to clear is my tire pressure warning. I’m running winter wheels without TPMS so the car is reading “inactive” for that function and showing a symbol on the dash. So what will clear the seatbelt and TPMS codes for me? Someone recommended the Carly app but reading some reviews some people were not very happy. Thoughts on it all?
