Ok so heres the issue. First all check out my car on Instagram @__miniac__ so you can see my setup. I have coilovers with dampering and camber. 17x9.75 wheel in the front with 215/40/17 tires. Was driving to a show on the highway keeping up with traffic at 80-90MPH for an hour straight and no issues then all of a sudden i feel the steering wheel vibrating, i pull to the shoulder, checked it and nothing seemed loose. So decided to keep driving, get up to 75mph its driving just fine and half a mile down the road it starts to vibrate again. Pull over once again, checked the car nothing is loose, tires were good. This time i decided to just go back home so i Took off again this time I decide to keep it at 65mph and drove back home an hour away and not one vibration. I am so confused. Anyone know what it might be?
Could be as simple as a wheel out of balance. Seems unlikely though if the vibration is kind of intermittent.
wheel bearing maybe? Sway bar end link issues maybe?
nice setup btw. Those tires look so wide on the front, even though they are only 215s
kinda felt like my tire was going flat, driving just fine for an hour following my boys at 80-90mph then boom my steering goes wild. But then it went away then came back.
The thing is that by lowering the car a lot, you're changing the angle of the driveshafts. Maybe beefier ones will last longer, but vibration is a known issue with lowered MINIs once there's some wear on the driveshafts.

the driveshafts are basically new, i replaced them when i rebuilt my motor a year ago. Im going to get stronger shafts and i ordered better control arm bushings (Urethane) I never changed them.
This is worrisome. Have you had any luck running down the issue? Maybe had it up on jack stands, gone through the steering linkage and suspension, checked everything is tight?

i will have it up on a lift this coming week to check what the issue is. I do notice driving on the highway i do now have a slight vibration in my steering that i didnt have last week and i just had my car aligned a week ago. So something is definitely loose or maybe my bushings are totally shot. Something is definitely wrong. I drove it today to a Street car show 40 minutes away at 65mph and had no serious vibrations. Didn’t want to push the car any faster just incase and risk messing something up. I really want to put it on a dyno and have them run it past 75mph and go from there. Might help find the problem.
Hoping it’s as simple as a tape weight on the wheel coming off and throwing it out of balance. That’s probably best case scenario.
but if you are lowered and don’t have shorter adjustable end links for the sway bars, those go bad and start to make noise. Not sure if they would cause the vibration, but something to maybe do next time you are doing suspension modifications or maintenance.
