So I looked at this first and I didn't find anything. Also, your links don't show it either. They show a hose clamp and the second link shows a hand pump to do a pressure check. I didn't really even see a procedure there on "refill" or "bleed".
Sound like a coolant flush, doesn’t hurt to have one done every couple of years.
I had to replace a hose and I did drain my coolant but only 2/3's came out. I added a flush detergent. Now I really need to get all of that out before doing a plain distilled water flush.
The advantage of a vacuum refill is that there are "no" air pockets.

on mine, after the mechanic found my coolant tank was leaking, detached the hose that is located near intercooler, there is a plastic pipe in between two rubber hoses, pressurized system to get to all coolant out, then once it was dry, closed the tube back and filled up new coolant using pressure again and the bleed screw. I had a mix of green and orange coolant all over different parts of the engine bay from the leak, hence why I had a full flush done, filled back up with bmw/mini blue coolant.
Honestly, I have great difficulty finding anything on that website.....
The search function on the top right is quite useful, once the model is selected. In case there are no search results, I look in realoem for the terminology BMW uses for the parts in question.
For me, newtis.info has been great help so far, both for repair/disassembly/assembly instructions as well as torque specs, functionality explanations, wiring diagrams, etc.
So my coolant was this color here in the 1A Auto before hand. Kind of a Aquamarine color. However, the Mini Coolant I bought from ECS is BLUE. It doesn't look anything like the 1A Auto or original color.
Ok thanks. So this light aquamarine stuff...did my car have the wrong coolant in there? It looks like this car originally had a coolant replacement at 20K. Based on the bottom of the car, it kinda looks like the original driver drove over a curb or some something as it took a tiny piece of the bottom of the bumper out and it put a 3/4" deep dent into the bottom of the transmission. I'm guessing it might have ruptured the hose there.
Yep, its some form of blue dependent on the concentrate i have seen 50/50 with distilled water and its light blue. But when you get the stuff concentrated its darker.
