Passenger door stuck shut

Can anyone help

My passenger door no longer opens on the central locking on the key fob or the central consol. At the moment I am using the key on the drivers side door to get into the car. I have tried both handles which again do not open the door.
I pulled the top part of the door panel away to get to the locking arm and pulled it up to try unlock the door. The locking arm spings straight back to the locking position.
I have read alot online and what i can gather its the door acuator. I have also watched videos of how to get the panels off but these videos are with the door open.
I have tried taking the battery off to reset but had no joy. I have also seen people saying about resetting the key fobs which I have also tried.
Any advice would be great thank you

Check to make sure the battery in the MINI is not weak. If if test at ~12-14v it should be fine.

Then it might be a weak door lock actuator. Gen 2 version is what you have for the R56.

if it's a weak battery, shouldn't they be able to lock/unlock the doors if its running? I would think the alternator should supply adequate voltage.

True. Weak main battery we see these move very slowly. Just trying to rule of everything since electrical gremlins on MINIs have a mind of its own, They lock but cannot unlock sometimes.
