won't turn over.

So i drove my mini to work and now it won't turn over. everything else seems fine. I put they key and car comes on like its supposed to. I push the start button and i get no attempt to start, if i leave my foot off the clutch i get the warning for the clutch. I took the starter off(real pain) and it works fine. In the past 6 months i have replaced the battery, alternator, water pump and thermostat housing. i checked the fuses, swapped out relays. i am at my wits end and don't know what else to try. Also related after i replaced the water pump i was driving and traffic came to a stop and my car died and wouldn't start for a couple of minutes then cranked back and no issues with that until now.
