Our 07 convertible 5 speed suddenly has this rattle vibration that seems to be coming from the trans. Not engine speed related no noise etc idle or if you re revving the engine at a stop. Starts once you get moving, noise changes with speed either going faster or slower. Can feel the vibe through the gear shift. It's not terribly loud but sure seems like it's not good. Had it up on a rack and ran it in gear and the noise is coming from the trans for sure

Anyone got a clue? Have an appt at a local shop that has worked on it before

 

Check engine n trans mounts. The upper engine mount seems to fail often.
