New Owner PICS!

Picked up a nice 2005 S 6 speed. Such a fun car.
only issue is the inside door handles don’t seem to work. Is there a DIY on removing the door panels and repairing the issue ?

Congrats

The door not working may be as simple as the cable popped out or stretched. If you take it apart the new updated cable will have orange ends, the old style has blue ends. If you need we keep them in stock.

I pulled the doors panels and the cable was stretched. I was able to fix this by relocating the cable end as seen in a YouTube video. Seems to work fine and if not it’s not difficult to pull the panels and replace the cables if needed.

thanks for the comments and advice guys

Happy to help, Like I said if it had blue ends it's the old style so get the newer one with the orange ends as it's an easy fix. We keep them in stock when you need it.

have similar issue with the hood release cables. I was able to add a tie wrap to make it work but what is the ultimate repair ? New cables ?

hood cables are so much more work the tie cable is a cheap and easy fix. But if you can put something a little more sturdy than the tie wrap on the cable that is a better fix

New to Mini and to forums.

I just got alice. My 05 mini s. I've been wanting a mini for awhile now and finally pull the trigger after much research. She needs some work. I couldn't be happier.
