Pics ** New BLING BLING ** Pics

Everybody LOVES pics, right ? Okay, here's a few new ones for your enjoyment (hopefully).

I asked Mike at Aesthetic Creations to make some door sill plates in the checkered pattern with the word "Cooper" centered on them and with the MINI Wings Logo on both sides. What he did surpassed even my high expectations. He made the letters and the wings in Chrome ! Here's how they came out. BTW... not easy to see due to the shine off the chrome but this was the best of the four pics I took.

To go along with my new sill plates, I asked Mike to make some matching wheel center caps for me. Again, he decided to make the Wings in Chrome and I think they look fannnnnnnnntastic !!

After all, they do match my valve stem covers.

I would have been ecstatic with just those items. But Mike surprised me again when he threw in some Warning Label Covers to match. I had fashioned my own a couple months ago using some checkered tape I ordered from RaceChex.com. But these are wayyyyyyyyy better !!

Just a few simple mods. Took no longer than 45 minutes to remove the OEM items and install these new ones. Not only was it easy, I think that's a lot of bang for the mod buck.

Thanks, Mike !!

Thanks, all... yeah, can you tell how happy I am with the way these mods turned out ?

Turcicus, you don't have to wait until you *NEED* something from AC, modding is all about *WANT*. Although his prices are very reasonable, IMO, I think I'm paying for Mike's next MINI. He's made 6 mods for me, SO FAR.

They look great! I just sent Mike my graphic for my custom door sills - I am so excited about getting mine, esp after seeing how good yours look. Mine will also match my visor stickers and center caps and stripes(all done by AC too)

Thanks, Sherril (did I remember that spelling correctly ?)

Excellent !! What kind of design are you having put on yours ?? Or is it a secret until you post your unveiling pics ? Remembering what your MINI looks like in person, I'm sure it's going to be something VERY cool.

Danke Shoen, Frauline ! (Wagner is a German name, right ?)

Yes, he does fantastic work. Those door sills look even nicer in person. He put a doming material on them that makes them look GREAT... much better than the OEM sill plates and I thought they were nice, too.

When are you going to post a pic of your boot stripes in your gallery ??

Thanks Matt - he is right it is spelled Sherill. You were close though

No big secret as to what mine will look like. They will be black with same checker pattern and side stripes, with 'sagworks' in the side stripes. They look great as a digital file. They match everything. I have a theme and am sticking with it. I will post pics when I get them installed.

Mike does very nice work. He did my stripes at MINI in the Mountains.
Your choices look very good. I really like the sill plates.
Oh and nice floor mats too! I was also thinking about the Redline leathers for the e-brake and shifter. I really like the entire look.

Thanks ! Yep, I love the way it all came together. Although the colors didn't come out very well on my digital camera (seats look gray in the pic instead of black and the red in the mats is a much better match to the boots than it appears).

If you like those floor mats, try this link: http://www.cocomats.com/ . Those would look great in your CR Cabrio !

Yep, the Redline boots are one of my other favorite mods. I get more comments on those than just about anything else on the MINI.

Thanks again, appreciate the kind words !

The thanks should go to the poster by the name of "Yo's Dad". He's the one who turned me onto those mats a few months ago.

Yes, Merry Christmas to you !! And a Happy Motoring New Year, too.

Quite a few of Ts if you go by the way the lead singer OK Go spelled it on a CD he signed for me.

At some point I also had an idea for door sill things, but somewhere along the line the idea escaped my head. I'm not sure what it was anymore. Maybe at some point my brain will recover and it'll come back to be again.

Okay, Mattttttttttt !

Too much going on up there in your noggin, Matt. I bet it comes back to you after some of that stuff is no longer bouncing around your brain. From what I know about you, I'm sure your plan was really cool ! Please share when it does reappear !
