MINI COOPER SALL4 R60 2010 - Engine Warnings
Hello all.
Its my first post here, im from Portugal and i find this forum the most interesting for those who own a Mini.
Well, i've a mini r60 s all4 from 2010 with N18 engine, which is not running good for the past months.
Currently with 78k miles, and with a LPG kit installed too. In september 2019, it became showing engine warnings - both Engine reduced power & Engine high emissions (this last one less frequent).
I took it to the garage, and after scanning, i was told i needed to change my HPFP (because it happens in this model very often, and also because the LGP system could have damaged it).
I've already changed the HPFP in August 2017, and within 30k miles i was told it was no longer good :(
Since im in Europe, we dont have the HPFP extended warranty, so i had to pay to do the replacement again (2y warranty was gone in August 2019). So i changed it (OEM), together with full thermostat kit, plugs, water pump, belt tensioners, some pipes and filters, and FRM3 reprogramming (since it also stoped working front windows and lights on my way to the garage -.-). All of this had a cost of around 3000$.
Now, within 1k miles from the change, the warning lights came back (both). Took it to the garage, and he said the scanner was still giving the HPFP code, but it couldnt be that issue since we just changed it. I was told to check if the problem wasnt from LPG system, but since the warning appeared when i was driving with petroil, i dont know if that could be the issue.
After a quick restart, the warnings used to go away.
Now, since saturday, when i start the car, it cranks for like 2 seconds before starting. The wanrning light Engine Power Reduction never goes away, but unlike before, the car doesnt go in limp mode, or at least i dont find any significant power loss.
I've read a lot of your posts here in the forum, and i saw that multiple causes could make that error: O2 sensor (which as never been changed), MAF sensor, the diverter valve, the pump in the fuel tank, etc..
At this point, im very disapointed and dont wanna throw any more money away to find the issue.
Can anyone help?
(im sorry if my spelling isnt the correct)
Thank you!

welcome to the forum...invest in ISTAD software that will help you diagnose and trouble shoot any issue you might have. as for the HPFP, you could monitor the live data to see what the fuel rail pressure is and O2 sensor values...
