R53: oil pan crazed

Have the engine out for a burnt valve and found the oil pan crazed pretty bad. Had an bad motor here to and it’s the same way.

Is this normal?
is this ok to use?
Recommendations on replacements?

Yep, normal. I've got three, all look the same as yours.
Just casting flaws.
Clean well and us as is.
OR... you can go over it with a small, fine grit disk sander (in a hand drill, or air powered motor) and smooth the surface. Then again...clean well.

Looks just like mine at 160K. Nothing but Mobil 1, 5W-30, changed every 7,500 miles.
