Removed stereo, now heater not heating and other woes.

I have an R56 hatch. I did the ugly disassembly to add an aftermarket stereo system that has caused me nothing but pain. This includes the Metra console install for a 2 Din stereo head unit. The nightmare includes the Axxess Chimes adapter to keep the factory chime sounds and their ASWB-1 steering wheel remote adapter module. I got zero power to the stereo head unit with the Chimes unit and when I plugged in the ASWB-1 it killed all the dash readouts and accessory lighting. Because I had limited garage time, I pulled the stereo head unit adapter and just stuck the dash back together. other than no freaking stereo, here are the issues.

First issue, no heat. I made sure the plugs to the A/C control connectors. Fan blows at differentiations speeds, air diverts to upper, center and lower vents but no heat. This is the critical one. Winter in the northwest!

Second issue, I removed the passenger seat for better access to the lower side panel cable run. Disconnecting the airbag/belt wiring connector caused the airbag and belt lights to come on. Is there an OBDII tester that will shut them off?

Third is the stereo. If anyone has experience with the Metro/Axxess wiring adapters, I could really use help. I'm even willing to ditch them and just wire the head unit direct using the harness adapter that came with the kit.

Thanks!
