Eclipse CD5000 - anyone installed one yet?

So I decided to build my own rear seat delete kit that would lay completely flat all the way to the hatch so my dogs would have a more comfortable ride (us people without kids are crazy about our dogs like that). While building it I decided I had enough room for an Amp under the panel and a maybe a small sub which I wanted to mount directly behind the drivers seat.

Don't ask how I got here but now I have no interior in the car but the dash board and a pile of audio equipment in the garage.

I bought an Eclipse CD5000 head unit and a PAC SWI-X steering wheel remote adapter. The PAC adapter converts the commands from the steering wheel buttons to into infrared signals for the remote interface on the head unit.

But while wiring up the Eclipse head unit I found that it has two wires for the "steering wheel remote." But I can't find any more information on it. Has anyone used this head before?

Return your SWI-x and get the PAC SWI-ECL instead. This unit will intergrate perfectly between your mini controls and the HU. Also comes with good instructions.

details here: clicky ((ust scroll down to the SWI-ECL))
