Crank position sensor o-ring options

Guys I replaced the o-ring on my crank position sensor and now it’s leaking worse than before :/

When I pulled it off I noticed it had rtv on it. Cleaned it up completely and cleaned up the port on the engine as good as I could.

Is there a better o-ring option than stock? Or is there a technic to this that I might be missing?

Should rtv be used?

I didn't see where you stated that you replaced it with a New OEM o-ring?
Make sure that you've cleaned off all the old o-ring. When I replaced mine, I didn't use RTV, no leaking.

Thanks for the reply, gumbedamit

I replaced it with a new stock o-ring. I’m going to verify the part, order a new one and give it another go.

The O-ring looked like it was too small for the application. Looked like it could be thicker.

That's strange. I replaced mine with OEM, cleaned up the leak toot-suite.
