R52 Soft Top pulls back not enough

Hello everyone!

Couple months ago I admitted that my soft top is not in proper position when open. It's "shelf" is a little bit forward and thus scratches the plastic of rolling bar. I saw similar problem here:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...correctly.html

But my problem is worse - both sides rub against the backseat headrest and it is causing the top to fray significantly :(

I dissasembled front motor and realigned the cables - they are in proper position - both sides are the same, locks work correctly, soft top opens and closes without other problems.

Is there any way to pull the "roof shelf" 1 cm back?

No gap at all :(

It needs adjusted, thats all. MINI dealerships can do it if you dont feel like you can do it. See that link above and post #5 on that link. Post #4 one person got it to adjust.

The sunroof parts (left and right sides) are adjusted perfectly. It seems that the whole roof construction needs to be adjusted. Or hall sensors positions are wrong

ok, i just know when i had my r52 back in the day (2006), they could set the limits on the cables a hair back which is enough to clear that roll bars and trim.
