Has not popped back on since. Been over 9 months
Did you clear the code and reset your adaptations?

QUICK UPDATE:

So, I plug the car into INPA and was able to do a little trouble shooting. I cleared that Error Code with INPA, no big deal. I also scanned things like Roughness Test (Engine seems fine), then checked O2 Sensors and also Fuel Trim and such. Not sure what I am looking for as far as numbers as this is my first time with an R53. I'll post images of my scans.

I drove the car approx. 70+ miles since I cleared the code and the Check Engine light has not come back. The car also passed CA Smog today, no problems.

INPA SCANS:

Wasn't sure what adaptations to clear. There were a bunch to choose from?

These are the fuel adaptations while the car was running. Not sure what I'm looking for here yet. Need to learn more.

This is an engine roughness test. It shows how each cylinder is running. Engine seems healthy based on my past experience using INPA

I cleared the code, but I didn't reset the adaptations. Wasn't sure if I should them all or just specific ones?

Nah you can reset all. If you want. The main one you want to reset is the fuel adaptations. That what was causing the 2096 issue . Plus your fuel mileage will improve some.

Okay... cool. Thank You! I did find out that my intake boot was cracked and leaking, so that may have added to the lean conditions. I'll go in and reset the adaptations and replace that boot too while I'm at it.
