2013 R56 MCS Clutch issue

Hello - my clutch started slipping a couple hundred miles ago. I was told that I would need a new dual mass flywheel, along with the clutch etc. I happened to reach out to another shop out of state and they told me that the flywheel can be reused if undamaged. Normal I would do this repair myself but I recently had shoulder surgery and cant lift my arm over my head. My question is, can the dual mass flywheel be reused if undamaged. Thank you

I guess it would depend on how you define "damage". Damage to the ring gear, damage to the surface finish (where it meets the clutch disk), or damage to the dual mass function (springs etc). I haven't come across any flywheel inspection criteria, but due to the PITA factor of changing the clutch, I think I'd go with replacing the flywheel.
