Clutch Clutch Clutch!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kak0V...eature=related

I stumbled upon this while I was looking for autox videos. and now I am worried.
This guy's clutch in the video makes the same noise as mine does when I start my car every morning. The clutch runs fine and no noise after the car sets off.
Is it a sign of bad clutch???
Thanks.

Sorta sounds like the common "chubakka whine". Mine has done it occasionally when engine/clutch is cold after or during moist weather conditions.....for last 50K miles too.

Never in reverse, only when engaging 1st gear starting out from the driveway.

That's the Chewbacca sound but not too bad. I have it too, it could go out now or 50k away or not at all. Only happens when cold start too

Yep, I have that as well and have had it for the last year or so. After the car warms, the clutch stops slipping. Like I said, mine has been doing it for a while so I don't think that yours will fail anytime soon.

Great responses.
Our clutch sounds like this.
Ours is quieter, but it does make the following sound.

So, do we worry about this?
Sounds like it is less of a problem than what Dream Mini is experiencing.

I would like to think we have a few years before needing to repair this.
