Stop start neutral position sensor location

Hi I have a neutral gear position fault code and it’s not stop starting. I was going to check this sensor but can’t find it and there doesn’t appear to be any information on the web, any help would be much appreciated thanks.

the sensor is built-in the shifter assembly. also, check the cable if it came loose, this one is near the thermostat.

The manual transmission doesn't have such sensor. Only clutch sensor (on the peddle) and reverse light sensor (a plug goes into the gear selector on top of the transmission)

What is the back story of this error?

I have a fault code saying the neutral position sensor is at fault. There is a sensor required to indicate the car is in neutral for the stop start system (which isn’t working)

From what i know, the only way for the car to start in manual is if you press the clutch regardless of which gear. I would check the clutch peddle sensor first. If you can run live data, see if the condition changes when you apply pressure to it.

looking through the links above, i realized my car isnt equipped with this system. the sensor should be actually on the transmission from the front facing the radiator. check for cut or chewed wires..etc

Not sure if the system is in US so, are you in the US?
