Dead Mini

Hello,
I have a mini that is dead. Put the key in and nothing but a wheel lock symbol on the tach. I have read it could be the BCM, the CAS, the Speedometer, fuses F21, F40, F9 or F5 and lastly, I've read something about a Battery Pyrotechnic device.
Does anyone have a dead mini and or had one in the past?
Also, does the Battery Pyrotechnic device really exist or is that just urban myth?

It is a thing. Meant to disconnect the battery in case of a collision. Not all cars have them. Google Battery Safety Terminal.

If it's over 3 years old, replace it.

not true.

i can even start my minis with a booster alone with battery disconnected!

if you have IBS ( intelligent battery system), you need to register the battery.
