New engine generating P0015 0x2d60
New engine generating P0015 0x2d60
I put a remanufactured N18 in my car. The only code I'm getting is now is P0015 0x2d60. The Bentley manual discribes that fault as "VANOS, exhaust: closed loop fault, camshaft sticks". I tried cleaning and swapping the vanos solenoids.
Any suggestions?

It sucks having a brand new engine and still can't drive it. My budget is gone, at least until I get my core refund. I've contacted the company that did the reman work, but they haven't responded.
Probably going to trailer it to WayMotorWorks.

I'd check the electrical connection and ensure there was power to the connector. It's unlikely that wiring would be your problem after swapping the engine, so whatever current you saw would probably be correct. if none, then that would obviously be an issue. But maybe the code is actually right and the timing is so retarded that it's preventing the engine from running. Have you attempted to check it? Maybe that's the fault that's being triggered but it's really the tip of the proverbial iceberg?
Hoping it's something easy for you.
