Video- Weird thumping noise when motor turned off

In the last week or so, when I stop driving car and turn off the motor I get this noise like their is a rabbit thumping in my engine bay. Any ideas????

It is the noise that sounds like a drum beating.

You can tell when the engine is cut off my the lights on the dash. I know there is a bunch of ambient hissing noise, must be the phone since it wasn't there when recording.

Are you sure it's coming from the engine bay? It's hard to tell from the video.

I suggest Googling 'Engine run on'

This sounds nothing like engine run-on. This is a thumping sound like a loose bit of rubber thumping on something solid.

This only happens after the car has been run enough to warm up. Does not happen, for example, if you start it up and let it idle for a few minutes before shutting it off. In the instance of this recording I drove about 3 miles before pulling into my garage and shutting off the engine.

Seems something similar to this was brought up a decade ago.

Will try to open the hood and figure out exactly where it is coming from tomorrow night.

secondary water pump shutting down? mine will run for a bit when she is warmed up or rode hard.
i have also a thing that happens without a thump but it sounds like a flap closing preceeded by an electric motor sound.
so my goes ZZZzzzzffwap but gently.. nothing hard or loud per say but i hear it doing it.

climate control flaps closing? air recirculating flap or something?

After reading about others that have heard thumping, and listening a little closer with that knowledge. I am pretty sure I have what has been described as "Mini Farts". Even thought it has been described as normal for the car, it's hard to imagine that there isn't any damage being caused by it somewhere.

BTW, I tried to listen for the sound on my phone and couldn't hear it, despite the fact that it was loud and clear on my computer speakers.
