Where can I get a good but relatively cheap fuel pump??

I replaced the fuel pump on my 02 mcs over the summer then had to tackle some other problems so the car was started a few times but never had any miles put on it. But some how the pump junked out on me and I need a new one. Anyone know a relatively cheap one that'll last me a little while? And also when I put the new one in. At the beginning the gauges worked but after starting it a few times they quit working. Then after digging at the wiring I grounded the brown wire with a black stripe and white dots which goes to the fuel pump connection does that have something to do with my fuel pump? Or is there something else going on.

If you want to do it once and not worry just buy a Walbro, from a reputable vendor. They range from about 80 - 120 bucks but you won't need to ever worry about it again.
