Minimum deck height

Anybody know the cylinder head (04777751AB C) minimum deck height spec? Goggled Pretty heavily, kinda elusive. Anyone with a Bentley can that take a look for me?

Thanks
Bruce

Bump, anybody? C'mon I know folks have rebuilt heads before. You gotta know this to decide whether to go with the oversize head gasket.
Thanks
Bruce

Well since no one else is helping I did some research and found 2.050 inches as the starting thickness. So go with what ever gasket thickness is available to make up the difference in what you have to take off.

Is this what you’re looking for? Photo because I’m lazy.

Thanks for stirring the pot! Can you link me to the reference for 2.050"? I can't see the head, from bottom of valve cover to bottom of head being that short. So I'm guessing it it's another location.

thanks for the reply. That works if you have a head that's never been rebuilt. Unfortunately, mine appears to have been reworked before. So what I really need is either the initial deck height or the minimum.

Forget that 2.050 business. Here is a link to a thread that discusses it. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...s-what-is.html

Thanks much, read it earlier. Was chasing some source document. PM'ed Unbreakable Lump, no reply. Guess this stumped him as well.
