i dont see my post anywhere so i guess this didnt post last time??
passenger side headlight assembly, the internal assembly, that holds the main bulb and turn signal is floppy, like a doggy door. - and its making the passenger side headlight shoot up in the air, WAY higher than the driver side. like if i cam 8ft from a wall, the passenger beam is over the top of the drivers beam. so a good 10-12in higher at that distance.
ie, its attached at the top fine i think but the bottom where the turn signal sits on the bottom of the headlight assembly isnt.
if i take off the access panel and grab the main bulb mount as if i am going to turn it, and remove the bulb, but instead, just push/pull it, the entire internal of the headlight moves up and down, like the aforementioned doggy door. like a flap.
there is, if i remove the headlight assemble and access panel on the bottom of the headlight enclosure, assuming to change the turn signal bulb, but does anyone know if there is anything in there that may not be attached, or broke that could cause the entire internal assembly to just flop up and down and be lose.
i just got this car and i dont fancy having to spend hundreds on a new set of headlight assemblies.
sorry for using someone else's picture, it was just convenient. whats circled is what is floppy, the top seems ok? but the bottom, where the turn signal is, isnt attached to anything.
Well found what it was, its a little mounting thing that isnt pushed all the way in. Ill be damned if i can push it in either.
Not giving up yet
see picture
**Some Time Later..... well dang it, that thing is press fit, or requires the lens cover to be off to be able to push it on. whoever or whatever did it, it really took some force to pop it out.
not enough room inside to get a torx bit in there to unscrew that bolt.. again.. remove the lens cover. ugh :(
now i have moisture on the inside of the lens from my hand generating heat being inside the assembly and it being cold outside.

$15 harbor freight heat gun and some patience...
pry off the lens cover amd push the inner reflector mount back together!
headlights are back in alignment.
only way possible for this to happen was someone changing the halogen or turn signal bulb and instead of just twisting, pushed and twisted quite hard causing the internal reflector/turn signal mount assemble to pop off its pressure fitted mount.
