Question on the 'S' engine internals

In educating myself on Mini's before purchase, maybe you more technical folks on here can answer a question.

How is the Cooper S engine built internally? I'm assuming forged pistons to withstand the boost? Cast Iron or Aluminum block? I saw it was 8.3:1 compression for boost friendly abuse. Does anyone have additional specs such as intake specs, throttlebody size, etc?

I'm new to 4-bangers, but this one strikes my interest as much as my Mustang addiction.

Cooper S as improved from Cooper

I can no longer find the online reference, but I have a copy of an article I downloaded a year or so ago, from MTZ, which is a magazine for engine engineers. (mtzworldwide.com).

Lower compression ratio
Supercharger
Exhaust
Valves are larger in diamater with smaller stem.
Rods are forged, not sintered.
Valve train strengthened
Crank forged not cast
Pistons cooled by oil spray.
Higher volume pump to supply spray
Cylinder head has 30% improved exhaust flow
Dual mass crank pulley to isolate supercharger vibration
knock control to allow use with gasoline of 91 to 98 octane (RON not USA)
