Stock Problems/IssuesDiscussions related to warranty related issues and repairs, or other problems with the OEM parts and software for MINI Cooper (R50), Cabrio (R52), and Cooper S (R53) MINIs.
I've had the airbag light come on 2 times now. Both times I used INPA to reset the system.
This is what I get when I read the code from INPA:
Google translate tells me that the "Widerstand zu gross" means "resistance too large". I assume that would mean an open circuit (i.e. a loose connection).
All the connectors were ON pretty securely though.
All the circuits are shown to be good by INPA as well.
Is there anything other than loose connectors that would cause this error?
The recall was issued for post-05 cars with the MRS5 system which had sensors in the seat to detect if someone is sitting there or not.
My Mini has the older MRS4 system which did not have this recall (it has no detection sensor in the seats).
