Make sure the battery is good. MINIs do a lot of weird electrical things when they have even a marginal battery. How old is the battery, it may be time to replace it.

It was not a good idea to jump a dead battery, that could have killed the body control module. The best way is to put a charger on the battery and make sure it has a full charge, before trying to start it. I would try a new battery first, if that doesn't work, then try a new Body Control Module.

Bring it to an independent MINI shop and have them scan it with their MINI/BMW specific scan tool, I'd bet the Body Control Module is fried. This is a classic scenario, jumping the car with a dead battery will do it. Was there a spark at the battery terminal when you connected the jumper cables to the battery? That's when it happened.

Here is a site that lists MINI specialists nationwide.
https://www.minirepairshops.com/

You could Google, 2007 mini body control module, and you will find all kinds of discussions here at NAM and elsewhere.

BCM (aka foot well module) is my guess but if it was all exposed to water there could be even more damage. Did the sunroof ever leak water? Was there a pool of water on the front floor? If the battery holds the charge and is good that the next thing i would check.
