Hi there, I have a 2010 mini cooper s (6speed manual) that all of a sudden just stopped going into 3rd gear while driving. It goes into all other gears just fine. I tried this with the car off and the car running. But it feels like a wall is blocking 3rd. Any help would be appreciated!

 

Take a look at the linkage on top of the tranny --- there's a good chance something is blocking the mechanism. Maybe have someone go thru the gears while you watch the linkage. It's item 10 in the pic. You might have to pull some plumbing to get a good view.
