R52 Windscreen Wiper Issues
R52 Windscreen Wiper Issues
Works fine on slow full on, fast full on but in intermittent mode either stops mid-wipe or won't park at bottom. Only way to get them to park all the way down is to shut the ignition off... not a good thing whilst driving.
Started doing this several years ago (4, 5? Maybe less, wife's Cabrio) then quit. Now it's back... Oh yeah: she doesn't drive much so this 12 year-old is at about 65k miles currently.
Seems if I jiggle the column-mounted wiper control arm I can get it to move again when it's decided to stop so I'm thinking it's the contacts in that arm, or maybe further down somewhere in the wiring. Is this a dealer-only replacement thing or might I find a used component here from a parts car?
Any/all suggestions/comments welcome.

A very common problem is a bad ground for the wiper motor with a simple solution.
May be worth a shot.
There's a long 'sticky' thread here:
