Try talking to your insurance company. Usually they have an affiliate who will do a good job for very reasonable prices.

I just bought a used one for my new 08 r52 and I got it on eBay. I would think that is going to be the only way to get one any cheaper.

The ridiculous price is why Brownflyer came up with his. I have one and it works fine. A friend of mine even made one, just from looking at mine. I don't know if Brownflyer is still making them, but from time to time they show up in the marketplace and can be had for a reasonable price.

It took me a month or so of looking, but eventually one will come up, then you have to POUNCE on it. They go fast.

I saw two that I hesitated on and lost them by the end of the day. If you see one and it has a buy it now, I would definitely POUNCE! That is the only way I got mine.

Are you talking about the wind deflector? Windscreen is Britspeak for windshield, I'd surely not buy a used one of those off ebay much less try to ship one.

That's what I thought but just wanted to be sure. We got one last fall off ebay at a very good price in excellent shape but had to locate a case for it from another seller. They are absolutely more than worth the effort to get a good one. There was one when I was looking that had a couple of holes in it. Good luck in your search. Just make sure it's for the R52. The one for the R57 won't fit.

Brownflyer is still making his. I was chatting with him about buying one when I came across an OEM windscreen for a great price.

If you ever have anyone that sits in the back, the OEM windscreen is a hassle. I have young kids that want to drive in the fun car to school. Brownflyer's screen seems appealing to me now having used the OEM. That said, the OEM works well, though not nearly as well as the OEMs in my previous BMW and Audi Cabs.

+1 for Brownflyer. I've had two for 2 different Minis. Perfect fit, works and looks great, great price compared to OEM.
