Mini wont start P1692 2006 R53

Hey all,
Looking for some help diagnosing my car. It's a 2006 R53 6 spd. The other night I went on a drive, nothing crazy just picking up ice cream for the kids. I pulled away from a stop light at maybe 50% throttle, when I shifted into 2nd and pushed the gas I heard a 'POP". As soon as I heard that, the engine died out and I coasted into a nearby parking lot. Took a look under the hood and didn't see any issue so I tried to start it back up, it cranked a couple times stuttered and died out. Took a look under the hood and noticed the MSD ignition coil had a crack down the center and white stuff was coming out. I got a ride back to my house and picked up my OEM coil and my OBD2 scanner. After swapping out the coil the car would turn over but still would not start. The scanner returned only one code P1692, after searching here as well as google it seems there is not one distinct answer for this code. So far I changed the battery, bought and installed a new MSD coil and replaced my Crankshaft position sensor. Reason for the CPS change was, while cranking the car the OBD2 scanners live data was showing 0 RPM when cranking. Changing the sensor did not change this problem so I am at a loss.

Things to note
OBD2 live data also shows Fuel System 1 status is OL
When I first turn on the ignition I can hear clicking from around the Driver side fuse panel - possibly main fuel system relay? 3 sets of 2 clicks
There was a slight smell of burnt electronics from under the hood....I was unable to pin down the location, figured it was the coil but after removal the smell still lingers. What did fry?

Moving you to the Stock Problems/Issues area.

With that red coil, the ECU may have been fried.

Did you check the fuses? I believe there are a few that control the engine; I'd pull each one and test them with a meter.

I checked the fuses in the engine bay and at the drivers side footwell. All were good.
