Sunroof cocks and jams about 75% open

Sunroof ***** and jams about 75% open
When I try and open my sunroof, when it gets to about 75% open, the sunroof gets cocked and jambs. Can this be fixed without replacing the entire sunroof cartridge?. Is this problem caused by a gear that has some damage? If so, can the gear just be replaced?
