03MCS bearing type noise ?

I started getting a noise that sounds like knobby tires on a truck sound when theyre running on pavement (although its not as loud) . The sound rises in pitch a bit as I go faster . When I take it out of gear the noise is still present . Weaving side to side dosent really seem to affect the sound much so I dont think its a wheel bearing . I hoping its not a transmission bearing .
Im going to jack it up and take a look tmo so If anyone has any suggestions on what and how to check please let me know

NSK is the OE manufacturer.
Timken (made in UK) is also a good bet.

Avoid the cheap Chinese made bearings.
