Mini Code P2885

I've got a P2885 with no limp mode. Occurs when accelerating hard. All threads I've seen describe the code accompanied with limp mode.

There's so many things this code could be but I would think since there's no limp mode it could be narrowed down?
Thoughts?

Car is 2007 R56 Turbo.

Start with the vacuum lines. They become swollen and need to be replaced over time. Is you car boosting properly?

There are many things that can cause this code so you will need to do some diagnosis, but many times we see it actually being the turbo waste gate worn out. If that's the case you will need a new turbo.

Ok. Yeah it seems to be boosting fine. Will try some suggestions and follow up.

Thanks to 08miniS08 for figuring this one out. It was a vacuum hose, in particular the one to the waste gate.

Before when I would reset the code, it would come back at about 5-6k rpm (accelerating hard). Now, the code doesn't come back so I'm certain it was a the hose.

Good to hear. If it comes back, then check the vac lines under the intake manifold at the reservoir. Those can get swollen and come off as well. They are a PITA to access. You have to remove the manifold to get at them properly. If you do, just replace the entire vac lines ($65 part from the dealer) and manifold gaskets ($10 aftermarket part).
