Cooling low fan... Old problem, slightly different

Hey guys, new to forum but not to British cars.... So, I bought this 14 Clubman last summer with a blown head gasket, spent the winter tearing it down and replacing gasket, head bolts and thermostat. Put back together, runs great.
great. Now I find the low speed fan doesn't work. High speed yes. I'm seeing a lot of posts about the resistor needing replacement on early models, is this the case with this model? Appreciate any input. I see mine only has 2 leads to fan as early models have 3... High, low and ground.

Not all Minis have a high and low speed on the fans. Open the under hood fuse box. The high speed and low speed fan relays are right next to each other. If you only have one relay either someone removed the relay or more than likely yours doesnt have the option.

fuse box shows 2 relays on underside of fuse box cover, 1 and 11 (as in 2, I think). The low speed relay was missing, I bought and installed ( there is equal voltage present on each relay base when both removed).
I'm trying to get definitive proof before removing fan assy looking for resistor...
Also, mine only has 2 leads to fan as others have 3 ( high, low, ground).
