Help with '02 R50 manual shift cable parts

Help with '02 R50 manual shift cable parts
The passenger-ish side shift cable losts its rubber bushing and now pop off the trans shift lever.
I'm having a hard time figuring out which cable is the right one?
What are condition A and condition B?
Here are what I believe are the two cables:

I also saw reference to the need for a special tool when replacing?
