Need help with mystery cable attached to ECM cable

Hey guys,

I have a 2002 base model Mini Cooper and I had to remove the battery box today to replace the thermostat and when I went to hook the ECM back up I noticed that on the ECM cable towards the windshield, about 3-4" up, there is a little wire with a small plug that I can't find the other side of. I am not sure if it is supposed to plug into the bottom of the fuse box thingy next to it or if there is another wire that has falling down behind something or beside something but I am stumped. If a picture is needed for clarification I can certainly do that, I should have taken one when it was apart but didn't...like a big dummy. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!!
