Why do you want to fit a 4% crank pulley

oh wow, don't do that. Put a 17% on and use a stock damper. If you want something better get a fluid damper or ATI. Those solid pulleys are not good for the R53.

As much as I hate to say it I'm curious to see if it will take it. It was against my better judgement to go with the 4% crank but I couldn't help myself. I'm blaming mid-life crisis. I'm already hearing "why are you always working on that car? You just got it. "

It's not really the extra RPM on the supercharger, it's that it also spins the water pump too fast and interfere with fluid flow. The undampened pulley will also vibrate excessively and really rattle the cabin which can destroy the crank seal and even the crankshaft. The difference that a fluid damper or ATI makes on these motors is amazing and they will last forever. Also through the years I have seen pics of solid pulleys that broken into pieces.

Listen as he is right. No matter what the deal is it's not worth it as it's been proved long time ago the over 17% is too much. And we like bearings in our engine so the lightweight pulleys are a bad idea.
And the thermostat is just buying a check engine light as it doesn't work, it actually decreases performance on a street car.

The thermostat during the winter will actually cause the car to run too cold, my buddy had to block off his radiator to keep the temperature correct.

Got the pulley put on. Boy was that stressful.
Got my DIY CAI done also.
Got the hub spacers put on too.
I think that's enough stress for awhile. Thanks for everyone's help.
