Mini Cooper R50 AUTO CVT Transmission NO MANUAL SHIFT MODE

Hello. I am new to the site today. I am having trouble with my 2002 Mini Cooper base CVT auto transmission. I repaired the bearing that makes the normal howling noise the faster you drive.
I Have another issue with the transmission in drive mode shifting only up the first two settings or gears and once 35 mph is reached it will just rev to 5000 rpm until I let off the gas pedal and not upshift any further. It will then coast at that speed. This is all done with normal driving at half throttle. If I give it full throttle in Drive it will shift normally in all ranges up to as fast as 80mph (i didn't drive any faster).
The second issue is also with the trans, but in SD mode. I don't remember what it does from a start in SD mode, but if I shift from Drive mode from the previous paragraph at 35mph the transmission will shift normally from here on out at light and full throttle. Once i get back to the 35mph speed while in SD mode the transmission will kick down and rev the engine to 5000 rpm until coasting and engine braking has stopped at 0 speed.
My last dilemma is also with the transmission and I think they all are related, Is that I have no manual shifting ability when moving the shifter to the SD mode and shifting up or down. Only SD is displayed when the shifter is in the right position. I originally had a p0705 code ( prnd switch ). It had some corrosion on the circuit board of the switch. This is the switch left of the shifter under the shifter cover. I cleaned it and the code went away. I purchased a new prnd switch and installed it yesterday with everything about the transmission acting the same. I am sure others have had the exact same problems somewhere on here. Any help would be grateful. I believe it to be a electrical issue.
I have been driving the car with shifting between drive and SD modes so I could take it on the highway. Thank you in advance for your responses. Jason
