Auto trans slippage, fluid leak

Hello,

I have a 2005 R52 with auto transmission. I had the transmission rebuilt a year ago. It has performed reliably since then.

Today, suddenly, I stepped on the gas and the engine practically just spun. I more or less coasted about 1/4 mile, looking for a place to park and check things out. No unusual sounds. I put it in reverse and it seemed solid, but drive slipped. I looked underneath and there was a steady drip of fluid coming out up by the radiator.

As far as I know, it is a sealed system so I can't simply pour in some fluid and see if that is the problem.

Thoughts and suggestions? (Car is currently parked at a local library)

Also, what kind of fluid should be used in the transmission?

Castrol Transmax Multi Import or Aisin ATF or Mobil 1 ATF, as long as the fluid meets the JWS-3009 standard.
