stripped the torx screw holding the ac clutch !!

stripped the torx screw holding the ac clutch !!

I finally got to the mini AC issue which is the clutch . I put the car in service mode and thought that wasnt too bad however the t30 torx holding the assembly together stripped . Not sure what to do at this point .

Dremel to the rescue . Cut a slot and used an impact screwdriver head . Came right off

Hmmm, when I saw the title I thought the threads were stripped. Trying to recall if I ever used the word stripped relative to rounding off the corners of a bolt head so a 12 pt socket will not work or when the leverage point of a screw has been ruined.

Back to thread, glad you solved the problem.
