my 05 r52 S started having clutch issues few days ago, clutch pedal went the floor with out disengaging the clutch, was able to pull pedal back up and worked for rest of the day

happened again a few times so i started looking for the problem, turns out the line from the master to the slave has a leak where it plugs into the slave. when pulled the line the O ring type seal wasn't on the end of the line but it was in the slave cylinder sideways

thought possibly it wasn't installed right, so fished the seal out of the slave installed on the line, bleed the system still had the leak

any tips how to diagnose what the sealing issue is?
cracked master, bad seal or damaged line?

decided to take apart again and take another look. what i m seeing on the seal is that it looks like it snaps on to the line first then u put the line in the slave
first time i just slid the seal on, the time i snapped it on the line than inserted in the slave. so far no leak

not sure why it wasn't leaking then it just started a few days go but will see if this solves the issue

 

Yes the seal snaps on the line in the groove otherwise it will leak. The only way to get it later if need is to replace the line
