Clearing hard codes and adaptations INPA

I got a cable, older laptop running XP, and INPA but I'm having trouble clearing the codes and adaptations. I have a P2096 and when I clear it the code doesn't exactly clear (and I don't mean starting the car again). It'll give the cleared prompt but when I hit read codes immediately after there it is again. Also, I cleared out my adaptations and the car didn't run any differently. From what I've read that shouldn't be the case.

It could be that your O2 sensor is bad. Thinking 2096 is the rear sensor.

It is the rear sensor. It's new and after replacing it cleared the other o2 codes but this one stayed. I understand that if the issue is still present then the code will immediately come back upon the next start up but it's not allowing me to clear it. Am I doing something wrong within INPA?

I am thinking that Mega72 is into INPA. Might want to drop him a PM.

I had to cut and paste some of my INPA folders into ISTA to make it work. Same folder names but the verbiage in my ISTA did not match what my instructions were showing. I opened up my older INPA and they matched so I pulled them over and replaced.

Yep. Everything on the PDF instructions matched what you saw when you pulled your files up, correct?

yes, pretty much....I found the DCAN.exe (to set cable mode) from the Reference Manual button on the Bcables Launcher . When opening INPA it's SHIFT+F4 for Mini R50....it doesn't specify R53 or R52....just lumps them all as R50...but it shows battery and ignition on, and it id's my vin correctly...I guess I just need to study it and work with it
