R56 No low beam, hi-beam working

I have an R56, and the low-beam on the driver side went out. The headlights are OEM halogens, that snapped in the housing due to a pothole mishap. Somewhere along the line my driver side head light went out, I assumed it was due to the bouncing of the housing, causing damage to the bulb itself so I changed it. The light went out again, but I decided to just buy a new set of lights to replace them. For about a month or so, I ran with hi-beams on because my low beams wouldn't work and my lights were pretty much pointing towards the ground.

Fast forward

I replaced the headlights with the Spec - D HID Xenon. After replacing the headlights, I power on my car and the low beam on the driver side still does not work, hi-beam and signal all work but no low beam. I checked the fuses, f47/f48 and both look good. When I turn on the car, it tells me that the light is out before and after I made the swap.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I just want to explore all my options before having to bring it in to the shop. Thanks!

Check the voltages at the connector and the housing. See if you have power there.

Spec D is aftermarket right? Is there a harness? Is it Bi Xenon or just low beam Xenon? If it has a harness and you did not add resistors to fake out the computer than yes you will get a bulbout error. The harness gets power from the battery. It uses one side to turn the lights on and switch to high beam. So if the same side is out that could be a coincidence. Most likely just a crusty connection. Un plug everything, squirt some contact cleaner and plug and unplug it. WD40 will work to in a pinch.
