Car has 68,000 miles on it. Also, is it best to go OEM for the gasket set?
I would get a new gasket, I think I got mine at a local autoparts store, not OEM. Got the housing gasket on Amazon (mahle).
IMO you dont need new nuts as long as they have not been removed before and you use a 6 point socket.
Mini uses some oddball metric size nuts and my extensive socket set did not have that size but a standard size (7/16 deep I think) is an exact fit. Again must be 6 point.

A few of the body clips are almost impossible to remove without breaking them and and I had to cut them off so this kit and other items here are really must have IMO.

Just finished replacing a leaking oil filter housing gasket seal, and changed the turbo lines while at it. The car will start but then stalls after a few seconds of rough rpms. Any thoughts about what could be wrong? I don't see any oil leaks, but some exhaust fumes from under the top heat shield. I did replace the turbo to down pipe gasket, and one of the three flange nuts. Would a leaking exhaust cause the car to stall like this? Thanks!
